Welcome to The RustEd Page.
Ed was my best friend, my brother, and the guy who was usually standing right beside me when something stupid, funny, dangerous, or impossible to explain was happening. We’d been friends since I was 7 years old, which means there are a whole lot of stories — some good, some bad, some ridiculous, and some I probably still shouldn’t put in writing.
For years, Ed and I talked about putting our stories together and sharing them somehow. A book, a website, a warning label for future generations — we never really figured out what it was supposed to be. Like a lot of our plans, it sounded great at the time, got talked about a hundred times, and somehow never actually happened.
So this is me finally doing it.
This is a place for me to tell the stories as best as I remember them. Are they all 100% accurate? Probably not. Are they mostly true? Absolutely. At least true enough. Memory gets blurry, details get bigger, and sometimes the legend is better than the paperwork.
Ed and I got into all kinds of crazy shit over the years, and this site is my way of keeping those memories alive. Not as some sad little memorial, but as a place to laugh, remember, shake my head, and say, “Man, I can’t believe we actually did that.”
This is for Ed.
The brother I got to choose, and the stories I’ll never stop telling.
Rusty
